SilvaLocator is the mobile entry into Silvaboreal, which is a Swedish registry database of forest field trials. Its purpose is primarily to increase the availability of information related to forest field trials and demonstration areas around the country. The amount of information is large and has so far been both a difficult and underutilized resource.
Silvaboreal is owned by the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU) and administered by the Forest Field Research Unit. Skogforsk, the Norwegian Forestry Agency, the Swedish Energy Agency, IVL and Sveaskog also participate in the development and construction of Silvaboreal.
